    Man carjacked pumping air in Downtown Visalia

    VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – An investigation is underway after a man was assaulted and carjacked in Downtown Visalia Saturday evening, the Visalia Police Department announced.

    Police say around 10 p.m. they responded to a reported carjacking at the Chevron on Mineral King Avenue and Bridge Street.

    Investigators learned a man was putting air in his tires when two men in black hoodies assaulted him and stole his gray Nissan.

    Detectives say after the two were last seen fleeing northbound on Bridge Avenue.

    Police are actively investigating this incident and ask anyone with additional information to contact the Visalia Police Department at 559-734-8117.
