YOSEMITE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The identity of a man from Australia has been confirmed by the Mariposa County Coroner’s Office following an incident on the Four Mile Trail in Yosemite Valley last week.

The Coroner’s Office identified the man as 22-year-old Harry Partington from Australia.

Partington passed due to a tree falling on him while he was on the Four Mile Trail near Union Point in Yosemite Valley on Oct. 8, the Mariposa County Coroner’s Office confirmed.

Four Mile Trail, according to Yosemite’s website , is a strenuous trail that is along the southside drive in the Yosemite Valley. The website states that the trail is three to four hours one-way and a six to eight hours roundtrip.
