    Suspect arrested, lockdown lifted at Visalia school after rifle report

    VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 21-year-old man was arrested after officers responded to Willow Glen School following reports of a man with an assault rifle, according to the Visalia Police Department.

    Police say the school was placed on lockdown around 8:15 a.m. and officers quickly detained the suspect without incident.

    Police say that the assault rifle was actually an airsoft gun.

    The lockdown has since been lifted, and there is no ongoing threat to the school.

    The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Edwar Woodard. He will be booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility for exposing an imitation firearm in a public place, according to police.
