FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE ) – In an effort to keep gas prices down, Governor Gavin Newsom signed his proposal into law to increase regulations on oil refineries . Lawmakers, oil representatives, and the governor himself responded to the initiative designed to help everyday drivers in California.

As voters weigh their decisions ahead of election day, Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp is in studio to talk about Proposition 36 , which undoes the limits on felony charges put in place by voters ten years ago with Proposition 47.
