A familiar face visited the Tom Ridge Center this afternoon to teach students about professionalism.

Meteorologist Tom Atkins and several others met with dozens of middle and high school students to discuss their futures.

Engineers, experts in business, and cyber security, and criminal justice engaged with students at the Tom Ridge Center.

One organizer said they are hoping to prepare these students for college, and success later in life.

“We’ve paired these students with career professionals that are areas of interest to them. We have great diversity, really being able to get these students to talk to people who are doing these jobs, and what does it look like day to day and what kind of schooling do they need to get into these positions,” said Jeanette Schnars, executive director of the regional science consortium.

Students came from Harborcreek, Iroquois, Fairview and Warren County.
