Penn State to play at Wrigley in The Frozen Confines

ROSEMONT, IL (Nittany Nation) — The Big Ten partnered with the Chicago Cubs to create a serious of outdoor hockey games this winter at Wrigley Field.

It’s called The Frozen Confines, and this year will feature Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Michigan State’s men’s teams, as well as Ohio State and Wisconsin’s women’s programs.

The games will be on January 3rd and 4th following the NHL’s Winter Classic matchup at Wrigley on December 31 between the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.

Tickets go on sale for the games Friday, August 30.

Friday, January 3
Penn State vs. Notre Dame – 4:00 p.m.
Ohio State vs. Michigan – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 4
Ohio State vs. Wisconsin (Women) – 4:30 p.m.
Wisconsin vs. Michigan State – 8:00 p.m.
