    Erie Playhouse announces shows for 2025 season

    Erie, Pa. ( WJET/WFXP ) — The Erie Playhouse has officially announced their lineup for the 2025 season, which is being called “our Season of Soaring Tales and Epic Adventures.”

    Each year, our team works hard to put together a slate of productions and programming to showcase the incredible talent in our community, and that we know our audiences will love. The 2025 season, called our Season of Soaring Tales and Epic Adventures, is going to blow audiences away, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the Playhouse!

    Shows coming to the Erie Playhouse in 2025:

    Waitress (January 24 – February 9)

    The Playhouse is proud to present the Tony-nominated smash hit, WAITRESS, featuring memorable music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles.

    Pete The Cat (March 7 – March 16)

    Youtheatre presents this hilarious, toe-tapping musical based on the hit children’s series featuring Pete, the groovy, guitar-playing cat.

    The Prince of Egypt (March 28 – April 13)

    Experience the Northwest Pennsylvania premiere of this epic musical of brotherhood, emotion and breathtaking dance from multi-Grammy and Academy Award-winner, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz.

    The Phantom Tollbooth Jr. (May 9 – May 18)

    The Elephant Man (October 10 – October 26)

    This Tony-winning drama is based on the life of John Merrick, the victim of a rare skin and bone disease known for the extreme deformity of his body.

    Emma! A Pop Musical (November 7 – November 16)

    Finally, there will be one Mainstage production to be announced at a later date –
    but the Playhouse says that audiences will thrill at the EP premiere of this massively popular musical!
