( WJET/WFXP ) – New details have been released on two Jamestown, New York, residents facing multiple charges after a standoff with SWAT and police.

Kylah Seiberg, 29, and Jensen Vazquez, 38, were both being held by Jamestown police after a several-hour standoff with law enforcement where multiple narcotics were found at a residence in the 80 block of Victoria Ave on Sept. 3.

Seiberg was receiving medical treatment while under custody when Jamestown police searched her person and found 7 grams of fentanyl. She was additionally charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence on top of her previous similar charges.

Both Seiberg and Vazques were arraigned on Thursday, Sept. 5, and remanded without bail to the Chautauqua County Jail. A felony hearing for both will be scheduled at a later date.

    Background

The Jamestown Police Department was first called about an alleged break-in at an apartment in the 80 block of Victoria Ave. on Sept. 3 around 12:42 p.m. with police saying it was the same residence where a Jamestown man was shot back on Aug. 17.

Two people were reportedly inside the Victoria Avenue residence when police arrived with Seiberg giving herself up while Vazquez allegedly barricaded himself in part of the residence armed with a gun.

This all led to a standoff lasting several hours with members of the Jamestown Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT teams.

Police eventually deployed chemical munitions into the house and made their entry after Vazquez refused to come out finding him in the residence’s attic hiding under floorboards and insulation and took him into custody.

Vazquez was charged with five counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance along with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Seiberg was charged for the Aug. 17 search warrant findings with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon along with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
