Multiple calls for the fire came in just before 1 am for a home in the 500 block of East 4th Street. It took crews two hours to get the fire under control.

“Our crews made an attack and we were able to knock the fire out. we did find one victim inside and we are currently doing the investigation and notifications,” said Thomas Cooper, acting deputy chief of the Erie Fire Department.
