NEW STANTON, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Turnpike announced that gas and fuel will be unavailable at the New Stanton Service Plaza.

The plaza, located in Westmoreland County at Milepost 77.6 westbound, will not have fuel beginning Monday, Sept. 9. Fuel will be unavailable for 10 weeks while 7-Eleven replaces the underground fuel tanks, lines and dispensers as part of scheduled maintenance.

During this time, westbound drivers on the Turnpike should get fuel 35 miles before New Stanton, at the North Somerset Service Plaza. Drivers past North Somerset can obtain gas off an exit.

While there will not be fuel at the New Stanton stop, restrooms, the convenience store, food and the Electric Vehicle Charging Station will all remain open. To report an incident or emergency on the Turnpike, dial *11.
