Schaefer still in process of making return to Otters

Otters head coach Stan Butler provided an update on second year defenseman and former OHL priority selection top pick Matthew Schaefer.

Butler, at Tuesday’s afternoon media availability, said that Schaefer (mono) is back in town this week and is able to go through non-contact drills on the ice.

Erie’s head coach added that it could be two more weeks before fans see the former OHL draft number one pick on the game ice.

The Otters host North Bay and Windsor this weekend, both with 7 pm first puck drops at Erie Insurance Arena Friday and Saturday night.
