PennWest Edinboro celebrating Homecoming 2024

PennWest Edinboro is celebrating its homecoming this weekend.

Friday saw an alumni golf outing, a cross-country invitational and an alumni and friends reunion barbecue.

On Saturday, folks can gather for children’s activities at the memorial hall lawns and the kilted mile walk roll run on Meadville Street — both beginning at 10 a.m.

The annual homecoming parade begins at 11 a.m. in downtown Edinboro.

“We’re really excited. This year our grand marshal for the parade is alum Trayvon Jennifer, who’s just fresh out of Paris, winning his third gold Paralympic medal for team men’s basketball,” said Amanda Brown Sissem, associate vice president of alumni engagement.

Alumni will hold a tailgate at Sox-Harrison Stadium beginning at 1 p.m. and the Fighting Scots will take on the Crimson Hawks at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
