A local law firm is partnering with Penn State Behrend to help students make a positive first impression on their professional journeys.

Employees at Knox Law have taken the summer to collect new and gently used clothing items to donate to Penn State Behrend’s career closet.

The closet provides items to students at no cost in an effort to boost their self-esteem during important career milestones.

Marketing events coordinator Ashelyn Keenan said they collected three car loads including a wide range of types and sizes to support the students.

“Professional clothes are expensive, especially as a college student. Even when you’re working full-time, your funds are very limited and they’re usually planned out beforehand. You don’t really have extra money for nicer clothes so it’s really a great service I think in general. There is such a need for students to be looking professional because it’s all about the image,” said Ashlyn Keenan, marketing events coordinator at Knox Law.

The closet is open all year round for students and Knox Law encourages all to contribute to assist the next generation of professionals.
