One person has died after Saturday morning accident in Erie

Erie, Pa. ( WJET/WFXP ) — One person has died, and several others were injured after an early morning accident in Erie.

Crews were called out for the accident, which was reported around 7:45 a.m. Saturday morning in the 700 block of West 10th Street.

The Erie Police Department has confirmed to us that one male has died as a result of the accident, and several others were taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment, though the extent of their injuries is not known at this time.

Due to the active nature of the investigation, no other information has been made available regarding the accident.
