A family in Wattsburg was displaced on Saturday after a fire erupted in their home.

Calls for that fire went out around 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the 13000 block of Route 8 in Venango Township.

Greenfield Township Fire Department told JET 24/FOX 66 reporters that the fire started in the basement of the home due to an electrical issue.

According to companies responding to the scene, thankfully, no one was home at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

However, firefighters called the home “a total loss.” Now, they said the family is in need of clothing.

They have four children — Two girls, they’re asking for sizes seven and eight, and two boys, who wear sizes four and five, and seven and eight.

The mother wears a size small, and the father a size medium.

Anyone interested in donating can drop off items at the Wattsburg Area Elementary Center, located at 10780 Wattsburg Road.
