    Two injured after accident involving a motorcycle and a deer along Interstate 79

    ( WJET/WFXP ) — A section of Interstate 79 Northbound was closed for over 5 hours after a deer vs. motorcycle accident left two people injured.

    The accident was first reported late Saturday evening around 5:00 p.m. near the 150-mile marker along Interstate 79 Northbound. This is located between Exit 147A (Meadville) and Exit 154 (Conneautville/Seagertown). Pennsylvania State Police – Meadville are investigating the accident.

    Two people were injured in the accident and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Reports indicate that one of the patients had been transported to the hospital via LifeFlight. They both remain in the hospital, but their condition is unknown.

    The “kings” deer are running. Be careful there are many smears on the roads marking hits. It’s the “kings” deer until you hit it. Then good luck getting the king’s men to pay for your damage or worse. But shoot one “poach” as they say, or mistake a smaller buck for a doe and you may be in trouble. Come on game commission, thin the herds.
