Once Beloved Mall Brand About to Make Triumphant Return After 15 Years
It's the 1990s all over again. At least that's what one brand is banking on as it teases a return several years after closing its doors. At one time, seemingly every mall in America was occupied by the same stores selling clothing to tweens and teens. Shoppers came to expect these stores in just about every shopping mall:
Reviewing Hiking Trails of Maine: Jordan Pond & South Bubble
I'll always begin every hiking trail review with the time, date and the weather on that date, as they can have a significant impact on any experience. My 16-year-old dog and I hiked the Jordan Pond Path in Acadia National Park and up the 500-foot ascension to Bubble Rock on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, beginning at 5pm and ending around 7pm. It was mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 60s. The hike is an easy 3.1 loop along the shoreline of Jordan Pond, and an additional challenging half-mile hike if you choose to incorporate the Bubble Rock path. Here was our experience.

There's no denying that the heatwave that's been heating up the towns and cities throughout Maine has been felt pretty strongly by mostly everyone (except those people whose body temperatures run cold and, even though most Mainers and tourists are sweating, they're still in need of a sweater.) Maine has at Least 6 Great White Sharks Off Our Coast Right Now
When I saw Jaws, I honestly thought sharks didn't come to Maine. I knew we had little sand sharks and that sort of thing, but I always thought Great Whites were just something people had to worry about in like, Florida. I assumed Maine was exempt from that kind of horror. As we've learned in the last few years, that couldn't be farther from the truth.
Sriracha is Turning From Red to Brown on Store Shelves; Here’s Why
What was once a fiery red color on grocery store shelves has turned a dull brown without much explanation. Now, that red seems to have gone away.

Maine’s Bangor Int’l Airport Now Seeing a Surge in Romance Scams
Getting scammed has got to be the worst. A few years ago, I bought a custom-built snare drum from a guy online. It's actually one of my favorites in my collection. The guy turned the whole project around in about 6 weeks. About 18 months later, I commissioned him to build another one. So far, that was 18 months ago. At this point, on a daily basis I wonder if I will ever get that drum. Is my $900 deposit just gone? We'll see...

In Maine, Why Does it Look Like Something is Spitting on Plants?
I know that's kind of a blanket statement, but there's always something to be amazed by when it comes to nature. Sometimes amazement comes in the form of kinda gross stuff, though. I like to walk my dog in kind of a secret spot, and while it's nice to have some peace and quiet, there's all sorts of things to be awed and grossed out by.

This Maine Bird May Appear Dead, but He Needs Your Help
When I was younger, I found a baby bird on the side of the road. It seemed to have something on its wing. I found out from my mom that it was a chickadee, Maine’s official state bird. Its wing was dirty and had something stuck to it, so my mom and I carefully cleaned it up and set it free. Since then, I’ve always been in love with birds.
