Deadline approaching for the ZDGA Junior/Collegiate tournament

ZANESVILLE — The Zanesville District Golf Association Amateur and Collegiate event will be held July 23 and 24.

The tournament is for amateur boys/men or girls/women ages 12-22 and must be a current resident, student or former student of Muskingum, Coshocton, Licking, Perry, Guernsey, Morgan, or Noble County. Players must be at least 12 years old and not exceed 22 years old by July 23, 2024. Caddies are not permitted.

Entry fee is $55. The fee can be paid online or by mailing a check or money order to ZDGA, PO Box 2453, Zanesville, Ohio 43702-2453.

Points will be earned for The 2024 Varsity Title Cup. Round 1 will be played at Vista, starting at 9 a.m., while Round 2 will be at EagleSticks with tee times starting at 11 a.m. The format is a 36-hole stroke play tournament, and flights for Round 2 will be determined based on Round 1 scores.

Awards will be given to the winner and runner up in each flight, and tumber of flights will be determined by number of participants. Scholarships will be awarded to top junior golfers entering their senior year of high school and the number of scholarships will be based on the number of high school seniors participating.
