Zimmerman will get another patrol deputy

The Sherburne County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 6 approved the addition of one patrol deputy position to the sheriff’s office staffing complement to provide contracted law enforcement services to the city of Zimmerman.

In December, the Zimmerman City Council had approved adding another deputy position to the public safety contract between the city and the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.

There is no budget impact on the county because the city of Zimmerman pays for the position and future wage increases, according to a county memo.
