NEW ORLEANS – The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation is proud to announce two local leaders have been selected to join its Board of Directors. Wendy Brunet Burns and Patrick Kiernan were nominated and approved by the board at the June meeting. Burns and Kiernan bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to support the Sports Foundation’s mission of attracting and managing major sporting events that create economic impact and positive media opportunities for the State of Louisiana and the Greater New Orleans area.

(WNTZ) – The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living (TFL) is excited to announce that the Town of Ball has become the 35th Louisiana municipality to adopt a comprehensive smoke-free indoor ordinance. Second victim in New Boston shooting succumbs to injuries; another murder charge pending against suspect
NEW BOSTON, Texas (KSLA) - The second victim of an East Texas shooting is now dead less than two weeks after sustaining life-threatening injuries. On Saturday, July 6, two people were shot in the 300 block of North Lindsey Street in New Boston around 5:42 p.m. Both suffered multiple gunshots wounds. One victim died at the scene. The other victim, later identified as 19-year-old Nicholas Webster, was taken to an area hospital.
