HUDSON COUNTY, NJ - The Hudson County Board of Commissioners has approved the acceptance of $37,190 from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs for the Universal Service Fund. These grant funds are reimbursement for services to public assistance clients for payments rendered for their energy usage. The program, funded through a surcharge on natural gas and electric bills, provides a monthly credit on eligible customer’s natural gas and/or electric bills.
