MORRISTOWN, NJ - Do you know this woman? According to police, on April 20, 2024 at approximately 1:16 AM, an unidentified white female was observed standing in the area of 23 South St. in Morristown. The woman kicked the lower section of the left glass door in the area of 23 South St. causing significant damage to the door, said police. MORRISTOWN, NJ - Ricardo Martinez-Bonilla of Morristown has been charged with Aggravated Assault causing serious bodily injury (2C:12-1B (7)), Terroristic Threats (2C:12-3), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose (2C:39-4D), and Possession of a Weapon (2C:39-5D), announced The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division. According to police, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 2:25AM, the Sheriff’s Patrol Division was notified that an injured man was allegedly threatened and assaulted following an argument on Patriots Path in Morristown, off Martin Luther King Avenue. A history of flooding — and broken promises — in Morristown’s Black community
Morristown's Second Ward is the historical home of Morristown's Black community and some of the worst flooding in town. During Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Hurricane Ida in 2021, areas in and around Morristown saw significant flooding — but "the Hollow" section of Morristown in the Second Ward saw the worst, with water levels reaching four to five feet high. The Hollow is the lowest-lying part of the watershed and has been prone to flooding since before colonial times. Generations of residents in the Hollow have complained about flooding, and the town has a history of broken promises dating back to the 1960s and the start of the Headquarters Plaza urban renewal project.

Plainfield man sentenced to 40 years for girlfriend's murder
A 24-year-old Plainfield man has been sentenced to 40 years in state prison for the 2020 strangulation death of his 19-year-old girlfriend. Bryan Gonzalez Martines, was sentenced May 15 to four decades in state prison by Union County Superior Court Judge Thomas Isenhour, Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and Plainfield Police Director James T. Abney announced.
