Fishers Fire Department cul-de-sac drills set
The City of Fishers Fire Department’s annual cul-de-sac drills start May 31 and run through the end of July. The drills take place in local neighborhoods every summer. During the events, firefighters get out the hoses, spray water and give little and big kids an opportunity to handle the hose line or run through the spray, according to the FFD website.

Assessed values continue to rise for many in Hamilton County; appeals due June 17
Most property owners in Hamilton County have seen an increase in assessed values the last few years – leading to higher property tax bills. The Hamilton County Assessor’s Office is responsible for determining property values annually. According to Hamilton County Assessor Kevin Poore, who has held the office since January 2023, assessments are “initially based on square footage and property features using a cost approach to value.” The sale price of similar or nearby homes is considered, as well.
