Morristown Softball Falls to Whippany Park; 13-5
MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown softball team fell to Whippany Park on Monday 13-5. The Colonials end the regular season with a record of 10-10. Morristown struck first, scoring one run in the first but the Wild Cats added one in the second and then five runs in the third and sixth innings.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Alexandra Barrett had two RBI's, one hit while teammates Jenna Manahan, Ella Watson, Shelby Shay, Taylor Donnelly and Madeleine Stavisky crossed the plate. Callie Volker and Jordan Ford were on the mound for the Colonials. The duo allowed 13 runs on 18 hits while striking out four. Keira Swartz was on the mound for Whippany Park. She allowed five runs on five hits while striking out eight. The Colonials will square off against Fair Lawn in the First Round of the State Tournament on Wednesday May 22.
