A few storms still in store for NCWV
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Good Morning NCWV! We are wrapping up another work week and with that this rainfall is wrapping up as well! We did see rain showers and storms very early this morning in the lowlands and there are still a few remnant showers in Webster and Randolph counties. There is still chances for a stray shower or two towards our more mountainous region as we move on throughout the rest of the morning and get into the afternoon hours, but other than that, today is expected to remain relatively dry until the evening hours when we see another frontal system enter the area and bring more rainfall and storms into NCWV. The bigger story for today however is these temperatures! With highs in the lowlands getting back into the low 90s, heat indexes are near 100° so take precautions if you’re working outside at all this weekend because even with a slight decrease in temperatures tomorrow, heat indexes are still in the mid 90s. Take frequent breaks and drink lots of water. Daniel Niemasz has all of this and more on your First Alert Forecast!
