Caitlin Clark Is About To Get A Much Needed Break

For Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever’s rookie phenom, life has been moving at a non-stop pace for quite some time now.

Ever since her senior season at Iowa began, and honestly since probably even before that, she has had the spotlight on her in a way few others have. What followed was a deep NCAA Tournament run, being drafted first-overall by the Fever, and of course, a grueling start to the WNBA season. She’s handled it all as well as one can, and has clearly started to find her groove with the Fever, but it wouldn’t be surprising if she was absolutely exhausted.

That’s why the upcoming All-Star/Olympic break could be such a blessing in disguise for her.

Sure, she probably wants to go over to Paris to play with Team USA. Any competitor would. However, taking almost a full month to step out of the spotlight, regroup, and rest could ultimately do her, and the Fever, a world of good.

Just imagine; if she’s been playing this well up to now, imagine how good she might be fully recharged?

During the Wednesday edition of The Ride With JMV, voice of the Fever Pat Boylan joined, and spoke about the long break the Fever and Clark are about to receive.

“If you think about her world, both on the court and off the court over the last couple of years, it’s been non-stop, and I would imagine this is really her first opportunity to kind of take a breath physically and mentally, and not be in the center of the spotlight for a few weeks, and I think that could be really good for her.”
