In a season where the Indianapolis Colts missed the playoffs by one game, it was hard to really identify players that broke out.

DeForest Buckner, Kenny Moore, Zaire Franklin, and a handful of other players had good seasons. The one player that finally broke through was defensive lineman Dayo Odeyingbo .

    • 2021 – 10 games | 6 total tackles | 1 forced fumble | 0.5 sack
    • 2022 – 17 games | 31 total tackles | 5 sacks
    • 2023 – 17 games | 38 total tackles | 8 sacks | 2 forced fumbles

Chris Ballard selected Odeyingbo with the 54th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft despite tearing his Achilles in January during a workout. Many had him pegged as a fourth-round selection, but the Colts coveted the former Vanderbilt Commodore.

He joined Query & Company with Jake Query and Jimmy Cook following the first training camp practice to discuss:

    • The added competition of Laiatu Latu
    • His mindset with this being a contract year
    • How year four is different compared to the previous three seasons
