The recount reflected different numbers than the first reported number of votes from the primary election, but the results remain the same, with Democratic Candidate Yassamin Ansari moving on to the general election.
                According to a press release from the Secretary of State’s office, Ansari received 19,084 votes and her Democratic opponent Raquel Terán received 19,048 votes.
