How much rain hit the Valley last night?
PHOENIX — Some monsoon thunderstorms hit various parts of the Valley Sunday night, providing some much-needed moisture after weeks of extreme heat. Maricopa County's rainfall data shows the areas of central Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Cave Creek and north Scottsdale benefited the most from Sunday's storms. The areas of Mesa, Glendale and Gilbert reported little or no rainfall last night, according to the county's data.

PHOENIX — A man is dead after a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in north Phoenix, the city's police department said. Phoenix police officers were called to a crash near Greenway Road and 32nd Street around 8 p.m. on Saturday. When officers got to the scene, they found a man with serious injuries. The man was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
