Allyson Felix and Pampers Partner to Support Olympian Moms

Allyson Felix, the most decorated female track and field Olympian, is changing the game for athlete moms . As she heads to the Paris Olympics, Felix has teamed up with Pampers to create the first-ever Pampers Nursery in the Athletes Village.

Felix’s advocacy for athlete moms stems from her own experiences.

“I just knew how difficult it was to compete at the top level after I had my daughter, and some practical things were really hard,” Felix shared with CBS News . “When I joined the Athletes Commission of the IOC, I really wanted to be that voice for athlete moms, and just take away one less thing for them to worry about in the pressure of competition.”

The Pampers Nursery will offer a safe, calming environment for diaper-wearing children. It will include with private breastfeeding spaces, safe play areas, and changing facilities. This initiative ensures that the commission supports parent so they can focus on their competitions.

In addition to the nursery, Felix and Pampers are donating up to one million preemie diapers to NICUs across the country.

Felix’s career boasts 11 Olympic medals, including seven golds, making her the most decorated track and field woman. She retired from track and field in 2022 but continues to champion the cause of athlete moms.

Her partnership with Pampers is just one part of her broader mission. A $20 million grant from Melinda French Gates to support Black maternal health further underscores her commitment.

Felix expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m so humbled to receive it, and I’m excited to put the money to good work.”

Felix will attend the Paris Olympics in a new role, offering support rather than competing. She advises first-time Olympians to embrace the moment and give it their best.

“You have so much pride to represent your country and just really to take it all in and give it your absolute best,” she advised.
