The 2024 Georgia Peach Festival(s)

Maybe you've been in the Atlanta area for a while now, driving on every manner of peach-named street, usually in traffic. Peachtree Industrial, West Peachtree, Peachtree Place, Peachtree Battle, Peachtree, err, Street.

Isn't it about time you give in and embrace the peach in all of us?

The 38th annual Georgia Peach Festival is coming up soon to two different cities in Peach County just a short drive away. Two cities? What? Yes, the event is hosted by Ft Valley, Georgia and Byron, Georgia on separate weekends.

The Fort Valley event is May 31st to June 1st, and the Byron event is on June 8th. The two towns are about 10 miles apart, and roughly 100 miles from Atlanta.

The festival includes numerous events and activities scheduled to honor our Peach Growers and showcase the two great cities and Peach County. You can expect arts and crafts vendors, fun kid's zones, food vendors, live music and more. Oh, and of course, lots and lots of peaches.

Fun Fact - There are two main varieties of peaches, clingstone and freestone. It's easier to remove the flesh from around the pit of freestone peaches.
