Montgomery Whitewater Park Announces 2024 Winter Events

With ice skating, a Cousin Eddy 5K, Brunch with Santa, and more, Montgomery Whitewater Park has all sorts of great holiday and winter plans happening in 2024!

Montgomery Whitewater Park in Montgomery, AL, the 120-acre whitewater park and outdoor adventure center located just a little over 2 hours west of Atlanta, is delivering year-round fun with their lineup of programming coming this winter.

Offering much more than whitewater thrills, Montgomery Whitewater Park’s calendar of weekly events at the onsite restaurant, festive 5ks and fun runs, and one of the region’s largest real-ice skating rinks, will keep the outdoor fun going from November through February.

“Outdoor fun is a year-round event for us at Montgomery Whitewater Park,” said Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Gustin. “We are thrilled to debut an entirely new way to play on the water this winter with a 5,000-square-foot skating experience on real ice that matches our scale of adventure and a variety of ways to make great memories with family and friends every week.”

The following events are currently scheduled to take place this winter...

Sunday Brunch Series – Sundays from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. beginning September 1
Complete with live music, great food and the ambiance of the whitewater waves, this brunch series at Eddy’s is perfect for refreshing, al fresco Sunday fun days at the park.

Campfire Music Series – Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30 to 8 p.m. beginning in November
During this weekly series, Eddy’s at Montgomery Whitewater offers stunning fall sunsets and memorable gatherings around the fire pits for live music and good times.

Tacky Sweater Trivia – Thursday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m. from December 5 - 26
Silly holiday fashion is not required, but highly encouraged for these weekly festive trivia nights on the patio at Eddy’s where drink specials are for everyone, and the winning teams get prizes.

Outdoor Ice Skating – Mid-November – February 15
Booking is now open for skating on the park’s 5,000-square-foot rink of real ice. Youth and adult size skates will be available and 90-minute sessions are $20 per person, with group rates available.

Cousin Eddy’s 5k and Grinch Chaser presented by MAX Credit Union – December 14
This festive 5k and kids’ fun-run will get young and old in the holiday spirit with a trek around the park.

Brunch with Santa – December 15 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Santa makes a special appearance for this special Sunday Brunch, complete with a DJ spinning holiday tunes.

Cupid Chaser 5k and Fun Run – Saturday, February 15
This 5k and kids’ fun run will get hearts pumping and put the love of the outdoors in bloom for all ages.
