U.S. Coast Guard suspends search for missing fisherman in Delaware

The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for a missing Delaware fisherman.

Officials have been searching for 46-year-old Dorian Yanke. He last spoke with family members on Monday around 7:30 a.m.

During the phone call, he reportedly informed family members he was going on a fishing trip in the vicinity of Rehoboth Bay, Delaware.

The Coast Guard says he missed a call with family members on Tuesday. He was then reported missing the next day.

"The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended the active search, pending further information, for Dorian Yanke off the Delaware coast after three and a half days of searching," officials said Sunday.

It was reported Yanke took out his white 24' Hydra-sport boat and was last seen departing Indian River Inlet with the intention to fish offshore.

Yanke is about 6 feet tall and weighs roughly 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a tan shirt, navy shorts, and a navy ball cap.
