Meet Kiwa: South Tampa's newest sushi hotspot

South Tampa is one of our area’s hottest foodie destinations. A quick look at Tampa Magazine’s

2024 Best of South Tampa is testament to that.

Now, a new face has emerged: Kiwa Asian Kitchen . Located at 5415 Bayshore Blvd., the new spot offers sushi and Korean cuisine, with a menu full of tantalizing offerings. Here’s what we ordered at the grand opening:

• The Kiwa Roll was a highlight, with krab salad, tempura shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce.
• A bowl of spicy Korean pork bulgogi, featuring a gochujang-based sauce, also hit the spot.
• For some local pride, we also ordered the Bayshore roll — made with tuna, salmon, tempura chips, and masago.
• And we took an Oreo-flavored boba tea to-go.
