With crime spiking in Central Park, Mayor Eric Adams says the city will soon be deploying drones to help keep New Yorkers safe.

"I think we could do a better job in using drones to police the area from the sky. And there's some new technology that we're looking at that I think is going to assist us," Adams said.

Major crime is up 46 percent this year in Central Park, while robberies have seen a 200 percent increase. Adams says there have also been more assaults and sex crimes in the park recently.

"People must feel safe in all our parks in general, but specifically in Central Park, because of the large number of people who visit there," Adams said

No word on when the drones will begin keeping watch on Central Park.
