NJ Transit Begins Week Of Free Rides

Beginning on Monday, NJ Transit commuters won't have to pay for a full week.

The fare holiday is designed to thank riders and apologize for a summer that's been plagued with delays and cancellations. Several time in the last couple of months, commuters have been left stranded for hours at Penn Station waiting on a train home.

The fare holiday will be in effect through Labor Day. Those who buy a monthly pass will receive a 25 percent discount on September's cost.
