LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – It’s a case that’s captured the community and the hunt is still on for who could be responsible for what happened to the English bulldog named Reba.

Across the valley, events are raising awareness and hoping to find out who left Reba to die.

The dog was found taped inside a plastic tote near Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road in the triple-digit heat on the night of July 25.

Reward rises to $50K leading to arrest in Reba the English Bulldog’s death

Carlos Herrera was there when Reba was found and rushed her to the vet where she died days later. “It’s been an emotional roller coaster seeing everybody here that we are still fighting for her and her story hasn’t gone dark. We are still going to fight for her and still going to find who did this,” Herrera explained.

Now more than a month later there are still no answers. That’s why Vegas Pet Rescue and local radio station 98.5 KLUC are canvassing the valley.

Dozens of people showed up at the Terribles gas station in Centennial Hills on Tuesday to support Reba at the first of many ‘Justice for Reba’ events this week.

“We’ve heard from people around the world about this and it’s not really what we want Las Vegas to be known for. Let’s get this case wrapped up somebody knows something,” local radio host Chet Buchanan from 98.5 KLUC explained.

They are helping turn up the heat with more than 10,000 flyers, hundreds of ‘Justice for Reba’ t-shirts, 48 billboards around town, and a $50,000 reward leading to an arrest in the case. Nearly all of it comes from donations across the community.

It’s all for one dog that has moved so many people.

“It’s just really too close to home I think that is what really brought us out here to support,” Estefany Herrera who came out for Tuesday’s event with her bulldog named Cosmo said.
