Arnie’s Arts ‘N’ Crafts in Roscommon Co. to close after nearly 50 years

HOUGHTON LAKE — A long-time staple of Roscommon County has announced they are going out of business after close to half a century in business.

Arnie’s Arts ‘N’ Crafts, a well established business announcing that they will be shuttering its doors after 49 years in business.

On social media, the family-owned business made the announcement saying that the current owner is retiring and has decided to retire and sell off the remaining inventory.

Arnie’s said the closing can be attributed to a perfect storm of factors including, Covid supply chain issues, poor winter weather, online shopping, among other things.

No exact closing date has been set yet. The business is currently selling off inventory at deep discounts
