Jalen Hurts admits that he was told "not to worry about a lot of things" when it came to pass protection with Jason Kelce under center, but now with the passing of the torch to 25-year-old third year center Cam Jurgens, Hurts will have a more important role in things like picking up the blitz.

"I don't know if it's necessarily new, I don't know if that's the word," Hurts told Jon Ritchie on Thursday's 94WIP Morning Show when asked about the Eagles' new pass protection scheme under Kellen Moore.

"I think it's a different approach in some areas, in some facets. I think Cam Jurgens has really done a really good job in just taking that role on and taking on the responsibilities of what comes with leading that group. I think in the end when you look at this upcoming season and what you have seen in years past, it's just different autonomy in different places. We had a great player in Jason Kelce who took on a lot of responsibility and as a result of that I was told not to worry about a lot of things. And so my eagerness to learn over the years kind of was halted because of who we had, but now times are different and I'm excited for that journey and this opportunity."

On Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show, Kelce said that he will be around the team during the season is happy to help out when needed.

Hurts joined the 94WIP Morning Show to discuss his Eagles Radiothon item ( VIP experience ) and the upcoming Eagles' season.
