Louisiana State Police Close Part of I-10 Due to Several Crashes

UPDATE: All lanes are now open continue to use caution as traffic is still congested.

Louisiana State Police are currently working several crashes on I-10, Wednesday morning, August 28th, thus a portion of the interstate is closed

According to State Police, there are several crashes along I-10 Westbound, on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

One initial crash closed the interstate, then additional crashes forced troopers to close the interstate once again.

You are advised to avoid the area to plan a detour for your morning commute. For information on detours, you can visit 511la.

When the interstate re-opens, we will share that information here and on this station’s mobile app. Until then, avoid I-10 West leaving Baton Rouge, heading towards Lafayette.
