Additional mutual aid was being called in from St. Croix, Cottage Grove, and St. Paul Park. Initial scanner traffic suggested that emergency personnel were taking a defense attack on the fire, as the structure appeared to be unsafe for personnel entry. It is recommended that the public avoid the area to allow emergency personnel to work efficiently and ensure the safety of everyone involved.
As of 11:55 AM, law enforcement has been unable to provide additional information on the incident. According to reporters with the Hastings Journal, the road has been closed off, and no additional information has been provided. The residence is back in the woods off of Saint Croix Trail South. Crews remain on scene and are working to extinguish the fire.
Once more information is provided, we will update this article.
