ASHLAND – A Coatesville man is in Schuylkill County Prison after police say he broke into someone’s home and told responding officers to mind their business and leave, or they’d be killed.

Bryan Olimpo, 34, of 1503 Birdell Road, is facing felony burglary and criminal trespassing charges for the incident.

According to the criminal complaint filed by Ashland Police Patrolman Daniel Weikel, officers were called to 1228 Brock Street on July 6 around 8am for an unwanted person.

There, the current owner and Olimpo had engaged in a verbal dispute.

Olimpo, upon Weikel’s arrival, told the officer that the incident was “none of [his] business,” telling him to get back in his car and leave or the man would come down and kill him.

Backup was requested and Olimpo said he had come to the home because people there owed him money.

He went into and out of the house several times, engaging in verbal altercations in-between.

Police made entry and took the man into custody.

Olimpo told police then that the knew the prior owners and that he had broken into the home using a hammer on the side door.

He was arraigned on July 6 and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $50,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for July 17.
