The Georgia Bulldogs are set to kick off fall camp this week, which means we'll get a better look at their wide receiver room for the 2024 season.

The Dawgs will, however, be one playmaker short with projected starter Rara Thomas suspended indefinitely following a recent arrest .

While that's a shame, it does leave room for other receivers to step up. So, let's take a look at those weapons on the roster that we'll be keeping a close eye on over the next few weeks.

    Colbie Young

Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young (8) fights for extra yardage during the G-Day spring football game in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, April 13, 2024. The game ended in a tie.

Colbie Young, a transfer wide receiver from Miami, made his mark on Georgia fans at G-Day back in April.

Young didn't have a crazy day on paper as he reeled in just three catches for 27 yards and one touchdown. Still, the 6-foot-5, 215-pound receiver proved that he can catch anything thrown his way.

With Thomas out of the picture, there's a really good chance that Young could find himself as the Dawgs' go-to X receiver. Of course, he'll need to build upon his solid spring performance through fall camp.

    Dillon Bell

If there's someone that Young needs to outshine at camp it's Dillon Bell.

We caught a glimpse of what Bell was capable of during the 2023 season where he reeled in 29 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns, adding another 25 carries for 157 yards and two scores on the ground.

For now, Bell is the projected starting X receiver, but if Thomas can show off his dual-threat capabilities, then Bell could find himself sliding down the depth chart or thrown in at the Z receiver spot.

    Arian Smith

If there's one thing that Arian Smith brings to the Bulldogs' wide receiver room, it's speed.

Due to an injury-plagued career and inconsistent play, the redshirt senior only has 20 catches for 539 yards and six touchdowns in four seasons at Georgia. However, now that he's back to full health and is coming off a promising spring showing, we should see those numbers spike in 2024 -- just as long as he can eliminate excessive drops in fall practice.

    Dominic Lovett

Dominic Lovett is the guy for Georgia's slot receiver position but has the ability to line up anywhere.

The Missouri transfer wide receiver logged 54 catches for 613 yards and four touchdowns in his first season with the Bulldogs last year.

He enters fall camp coming off a standout spring where he made the best play at G-Day.

    Other Bulldog WRs to Watch

Other Bulldog wide receivers to keep up through fall camp include London Humphreys, Anthony Evans, Nitro Tuggle, and Sacovie White.
