Ohio and Louisiana have seen Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow play incredible football, but his work battling food insecurity in the communities he's called home will always be more important.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Burrow has partnered with Kodiak Cakes to donate nearly 30,000 meals to three school programs in Athens, OH, Baton Rouge, LA, and Cincinnati, OH.

Burrow's efforts to battle food insecurity started all the way back during his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech in 2019. Since then, he started the Joe Burrow Foundation to put his words into action. Its mission is: "To provide resources and support to the underprivileged and underserved."

Major sponsors such as Kroger and Guinness have partnered with the foundation. Burrow, who's made it a point of emphasis to expand his brand a little more , wants to work with brands who support his foundation's mission.

"I would say it is a requirement," Burrow said of his brands' involvement in his foundation . "When I look for brands to partner with, I want brands that share my values. And I think that's the best way to build relationships, is to find brands that you have the same values with, and that way you can do the most good and make the right content to reach those people."

Kodiak Cakes is the next partner for Burrow's foundation. The company is based in Park City, UT, and specializes in breakfast foods such as pancake and waffle mixes and oatmeal cups. They also partner up with wildlife conservation foundations.

Both sides will contribute towards an exact total of 29,997 meals, or 9,999 per area in honor of Burrow's #9 jersey.

Burrow's foundation has had a busy year. After receiving a plethora of donations following the QB's season-ending injury, its second annual golf outing in Cincinnati helped raise over $1 million.
