Philadelphia Eagles legend Nick Foles is set to retire after 11 seasons in the NFL.

Foles made the announcement via X/Twitter on Thursday morning.

"After much thought and prayer, I've decided to retire from the NFL," Foles wrote above the video he posted thanking fans. "It's been an incredible 11-year journey filled with unforgettable moments and amazing people. From being drafted by the Eagles to winning the Super Bowl, every step has been a blessing.

"I'm excited to spend more time with my family and embrace the next chapter of my life. Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, team staff, and fans for your unwavering support. I am forever grateful."

Foles, 35, will return to Philly and officially retire as an Eagle when the Birds face the Atlanta Falcons for their 2024 home opener on Sept. 16.

Although Foles spent some time with the LA Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Chicago Bears, it only makes sense that he throws in the towel with the team that drafted him and where he won his first and only Super Bowl.

And it's that 2017 Super Bowl season that will help his legacy live on forever in the City of Philadelphia.

Foles filled in for the injured Carson Wentz that season and led the Birds to a 43-33 Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots on Feb. 4, 2018. It was a huge moment for Eagles franchise history as it marked their first-ever Super Bowl win.

It was also a big moment for Foles, who completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards with three passing touchdowns in the win and was named Super Bowl MVP.

Foles, a former third-round pick (No. 88 overall) out of Arizona in 2011, officially hangs up his career after throwing for a total 14,227 yards, 82 touchdowns, and 47 interceptions.
