Everyone has a list of their favorite players in the league, even those who are actually playing in it. On Thursday, we learned who two of Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams' favorite players in the league truly are.

One of those players is fellow quarterback, and a former first overall pick, Matthew Stafford. Stafford has never received any of the hype and respect he's truly deserved throughout his career, even after winning a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.

Williams made sure to give Stafford his flowers while appearing on the "Up & Adams Show" with Kay Adams following Thursday's practice outside Halas Hall.

Williams grew up watching Stafford while he was playing for the Detroit Lions and over time realized how special of a player he really is at the quarterback position.

"When he played for Detroit, I enjoyed watching him. I was younger and I didn't really understand, then I got older and older, and I started to understand his game," Williams said . "He's unbelievable. Like there's a couple plays where he'll get a play-action and he has the [linebacker] on a string. If he wants the backer to go here, he'll go there and he'll throw it right behind his head at the perfect touch and perfect velocity."

Williams also became the latest Bears player to take offense over this year's NFL Top-100 ranking. The ranking listed Stafford as the 42nd ranked player in the league, the 11th highest ranked quarterback on the list, a ranking Williams had a strong issue with.

"I don't think I could name three quarterbacks that play the position better than Matthew Stafford," Williams added. "Matthew is Top-2 in the league. I'll give him his respect, I watch his game and try to mimic things and get after it."

Williams also gave high praise to New York Jets starting quarterback, and former Bears rival, Aaron Rodgers claiming that Rodgers is right now his number one quarterback in the league. While Williams won't get to see Rodgers during his rookie season, he will get the opportunity to see Stafford look his magic against the defense Williams has been facing all offseason when the Bears host the Rams in Week 4.

As for all the skills he's been mimicking from watching Stafford, Williams will be able to put all of those on display on Saturday as he makes his preseason debut against the Buffalo Bills and their starters .
