The new all or nothing season for the New York Jets gets one step closer to officially kicking off on Saturday, August 10, when the team welcomes the Washington Commanders to MetLife Stadium in Week 1 of the preseason.

While we already know that we won’t be seeing Aaron Rodgers at all in this game, much to his chagrin , but there is still a lot to pay attention to when the Jets line up Saturday. It will be the first game action for rookies Olu Fashanu, the big left tackle out of Penn State and running back Braelon Allen out of Wisconsin who may have already won the backup running back job.

We may finally get to see an angry run from rookie wide receiver Malachi Corley as well as a play from the cornerback turning heads in camp, Qwan’tez Stiggers.

The toughest part about the preseason, for fans, is keeping up with all the action. This especially applies to out-of-market fans. Fortunately, along with 506sports.com, there are ways to watch/stream the game and not miss a beat. The game kicks off at 12 p.m. ET and per 506sports , it will be broadcasted on the following TV channels

In New York, it'll be Ian Eagle and Anthony Becht on the call:

    • WCBS (CBS/2 - New York)

For Commanders’ fans Chick Hernandez and Brian Mitchell will be on the call on the following stations:

    • WUSA (CBS/9 - Washington)
    • WTKR (CBS/3 - Norfolk VA)
    • WRLH (FOX/35 - Richmond VA)
    • WDBJ (CBS/7 - Roanoke VA)
    • KHII (My/9 - Honolulu)

Streaming-wise, in-market fans can catch the game on NFL+, and Paramount Plus. Out-of-market fans can also catch the game on NFL+, which has become a godsend, basically, for this time of year.

On the Washington side, the entire league will get it’s first look at rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, whom the Commanders took with the second overall pick in April’s draft. He may not be facing the entire starting Jets defense, but it still won’t be easy for the youngster as he tries to figure out the NFL game.

Saturday's action isn't the only notable moment of the week, either. The two squads faced off in a joint practice session on Thursday which put a spotlight on Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

In all, it should be an exciting week that gets one step closer to real football.
