The Green Bay Packers opened their preseason schedule against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. Starters on offense played a drive , and young players had an opportunity to show what they are capable of. There are two preseason games left, versus the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, before the regular season opener in Brazil against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 6.

Previously, we had mentioned three players to watch. Let's talk about how they performed in Cleveland.

    Javon Bullard

Versatility is the calling card for the second-round rookie . He played deep as a safety and also in the slot, with some interesting coverage plays and two tackles.

Evan Williams was probably more active playing deep, getting close to the action with regularity. It will be interesting to see how defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will utilize the rookies alongside Xavier McKinney, especially in the regular season when Keisean Nixon will be deployed on defense all the time.

    Andre Dillard

The veteran offensive tackle started on the right side, because Zach Tom is still coming back from a pec injury. He was fine in his only drive there protecting Jordan Love, but in the touchdown play you can see he is not exactly an impressive example of power to slow down edge defenders.

When the main starters left the field, Dillard moved to the left side with the twos, and Kadeem Telfort played at RT. He was moved too easily a couple of times and had a false start, even though he showed good movement in the run game to reach the second level.

It's important to remember that the Browns didn't play their starters, which is slightly more concerning for what Dillard can be for this offense. Elgton Jenkins will probably be a better tackle option in the case of an emergency with Rasheed Walker or Zach Tom.

    MarShawn Lloyd

Lloyd didn't have much action early on in his first NFL action. In the first half, Matt LaFleur rotated running backs per drive, and in Lloyd's turn, the Packers passed every time. Later in the game, he had a dump off reception but slipped, getting only one yard. His best play came a little later, in the third quarter, when he was able to get a second opportunity in the same play after colliding with the offensive line. He showed speed to move around bodies and gain eight yards.

Emanuel Wilson was certainly the most impressive running back of the day, being extremely efficient.

To make things worse for the rookie, Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury, diminishing his workload in the second half — a hip injury had previously affected Lloyd’s training camp participation.
