The Oregon Ducks are good at football, and the sportsbooks expect them to continue to be good at football in their new conference home.

According to the top sportsbooks, Oregon is listed amongst the elites in the country, tied with Ohio State and three other programs for the highest implied win total in all of college football.

Oregon Ducks' win total line is set at 10.5 wins

10.5 is a big number. Last year, the Ducks won 12 games. Each of the two years prior, they won 10. Oregon's win total line of 10.5 is tied with four other schools for the highest in the country – Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, and Notre Dame are the four other school with a line set at 10.5.

Other top schools in the Big Ten are close on their heels, with Penn State checking in with a win total line of 9.5, and the National Champion University of Michigan Wolverines are at 8.5.

Can Oregon go over 10.5 wins?

For Oregon to win 11 games, they're only going to have room to drop one game in their 12-game schedule. Let's take a look at their matchups.

    • vs. Idaho
    • vs. Boise State
    • @ Oregon State
    • @ UCLA
    • vs. Michigan State
    • vs. Ohio State (2)
    • @ Purdue
    • vs. Illinois
    • @ Michigan (8)
    • vs. Maryland
    • @ Wisconsin
    • vs. Washington

I hesitate to say that any matchup in college football is "easy," but looking at Oregon's schedule, they have only two matchups with teams ranked in the AP Preseason Coach's Poll, a matchup at home against Ohio State, and a road matchup with Michigan.

Assuming, and it's a big assumption, that they win out their other games, Oregon would have to beat one of those two teams in order to hurdle their 10.5 win total line.

Other teams on this schedule that aren't ranked could still pose a threat. Chief among them, Washington, who is Oregon's longest and most hated rival. Washington will absolutely get up for that game, and with it being the last week of the regular season, they could have the mindset of aiming to play spoiler to any College Football Playoffs seeding conversations for Oregon.

Oregon has talent all over the field to compete weekly

For the Ducks, they have one of the best quarterback rooms in the country , and headline-worthy playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Dillon Gabriel enters the season as the Heisman Trophy favorite, and Evan Stewart has a chance to be one of the best wide receivers in the country in his new offense.

Their defense also returns some crucial playmakers as they look to slow down their Big Ten opponents. Jordan Burch has his eyes set on stepping up as an elite pass rusher, and they have breakout candidates in their linebacker room that are full of talent.

Oregon will be hungry to live up to the hype this season, and they have the talent to do so.
