ESPN names Oregon’s biggest weak point going into 2024 season
On paper, this Oregon Ducks defense that is set to take the field in 2024 is among the most talented we’ve seen in Eugene in quite some time. Oregon’s so-called safety problem is the inexperience and bringing in newcomers such as transfer Kobe Savage from...

Coast Radio Sports – Viking Athlete moves up in school top 10 list of high jumpers
Kale Jensen has “leapt” into the Siuslaw High School record book. The incoming Viking Junior competed at a recent “all-comers” meet in Eugene. Competing in the high jump he cleared six feet, two inches, putting him into a 5-way tie for ninth place in that category. His mark is also the 2nd highest recorded in the 21st century for Siuslaw according to athletic director Chris Johnson. Bryce Siegel cleared six-four in 2007. The school record is held by Siuslaw Hall of Fame member and current building contractor Mike Roe. He jumped six feet ten inches in 1979. Roe’s mark is also the state record in the 4A classification.
